Chiorri
About Chiorri
Chiorri is a family-run winery in Umbria, located just outside Perugia. Founded in 1890 and now led by the fifth generation - Monica Chiorri and her husband Francesco, the estate blends deep tradition with a forward-looking approach to sustainability. Its hillside vineyards are home to both native and international varieties—including Grechetto, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon—producing wines that are fresh, expressive, and rooted in the local terroir. Chiorri was also the first winery in Umbria certified under Italy’s SQNPI sustainability system, underscoring its commitment to quality and environmental responsibility.
Why We Love Chiorri
We love Chiorri for its genuine warmth, deep family roots, and honest expression of Umbrian terroir. The Chiorri family brings a personal, down-to-earth charm to everything they do—from tending their hillside vineyards to crafting wines that are fresh, approachable, and full of character. Their dedication results in wines that are both true to the region and easy to enjoy. Chiorri isn’t flashy—it’s soulful, authentic, and exactly the kind of place that makes you fall in love with Umbria.
