2022 Fèlsina Berardenga - Chianti Classico
Tasting Notes
Dark ruby with garnet undertones. The nose is intense and complex, featuring ripe cherry, black tea, dried violets, and warm spices. The palate is powerful and focused, with concentrated red fruit, fine-grained tannins, and vibrant acidity. A long, mineral-laced finish brings structure and depth.
About Fèlsina
Fèlsina is a historic estate in the southeastern corner of Chianti Classico, Tuscany. Since its acquisition by the Poggiali family in 1966, Fèlsina has become renowned for its dedication to Sangiovese, producing wines that are both expressive and true to their terroir. The estate's vineyards span diverse soils, from the stony, calcareous terrains of Chianti Classico to the sandy, loamy soils of the Colli Senesi, allowing for a range of nuanced expressions. Aging takes place in a combination of Slavonian oak casks and French oak barriques, contributing to the wines' complexity and aging potential.
