2022 Castello di Uviglie Hosteria - Monferrato Rosso DOC
Tasting Notes
Ruby red with purple hues. Aromas of wild berries, violet, and a touch of baking spice emerge from the glass. The palate is supple and balanced, showing bright red fruit, soft tannins, and a playful lift from the Pinot Nero component. The finish is smooth and savory, with good persistence.
About Castello di Uviglie
Castello di Uviglie is a historic estate in Monferrato, Piedmont, with roots dating back to 1491—one of the older wineries in Piedmont. Today, it’s led by the Bonzano family. The winery is known for its dedication to native varieties like Barbera, Grignolino, and Albarossa, producing wines that are vibrant, expressive, and true to their terroir.
