About Domaine de Colonat

Domaine de Colonat, a family-owned winery since 1828, is nestled in the heart of the Beaujolais region in Villié-Morgon, France. Now in its seventh generation, the estate is managed by Thomas and Julie Collonge, who have infused modern eco-friendly practices into their winemaking. Spanning 30 acres, the vineyard cultivates traditional Beaujolais varietals, notably Gamay, across esteemed appellations such as Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, and Beaujolais Blanc.

Domaine de Colonat is renowned for producing exceptional wines that capture the essence of their terroir. This dedication has garnered international acclaim, with notable accolades such as the 2023 Moulin-à-Vent Vieilles Vignes (Bon Vent) being named Best Gamay in the World at the 14th International Gamay Competition. Additionally, their 2023 Morgon Les Charmes (Bon Appetit) and 2023 Moulin-à-Vent Les Grenèriers cuvées received Best in Show awards at the Decanter Wine Awards, underscoring the winery's commitment to excellence.
