NV Clos Maurice Volupte - Cremant de Loire

Tasting Notes

Bright pale gold with a fine mousse. The nose is fresh and elegant, showing white flowers, green apple, and lemon pastry. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with vibrant acidity and a creamy bead, giving way to citrus, chalk, and a hint of toasted brioche. The finish is precise and clean.

About Clos Maurice

A family-owned estate in the heart of Saumur-Champigny, with continuous farming roots since 1783. Today, the Domaine is led by Nicolas Gaignon and is fully certified organic and biodynamic, emphasizing minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar. The estate’s vineyards lie on classic tuffeau limestone soils, producing beautifully lifted, mineral-driven Cabernet Francs that are both vibrant and age-worthy. In addition to their reds, Clos Maurice also crafts a complex sparkling Crémant. All wines are marked by purity, freshness, and a deep sense of place and reflect a thoughtful, contemporary approach grounded in centuries of tradition.
