2024 Chateau l’Ermite d’Auzan Sainte Cécile White
Tasting Notes
Golden straw in the glass. Aromas of peach blossom, candied citrus, and soft spice rise from the glass. The palate is elegant and rounded, with flavors of ripe stone fruit, citrus oil, and a fine mineral thread. The finish is smooth and persistent, leaving a hint of saline freshness.
About Chateau l’Ermite d’Auzan
A historic estate in the Costières de Nîmes, on the Southern edge of the Rhône Valley-founded by 11th-century hermits of the Sainte Cécile d’Estagel Abbey-is now led by the fourth-generation Castillon family. Overlooking the Mediterranean, the estate benefits from sun-soaked, south-facing vineyards planted on galets roulés—pebbly soils that bring freshness and complexity to the wines. Under the leadership of Jerome Castillon, the estate has embraced organic and biodynamic farming, producing elegant, expressive wines that reflect both the region’s heritage and a modern, environmentally conscious approach.
