2023 Michel Redde La Moynerie - Pume Fume

Tasting Notes

Light gold with green reflections. The nose is pristine and expressive, offering lime zest, white peach, and chalky minerality with touches of citrus blossom. On the palate, the wine is crisp and focused, displaying citrus and stone fruit with a laser-cut mineral edge. The finish is long, saline, and deeply refreshing.

About Michel Redde

Michel Redde et Fils is a celebrated family-owned winery nestled in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation of France's Loire Valley. Established in the early 1950s by Michel Redde, the estate spans 103 acres of vineyards across varying terroirs. Now led by Michel's grandsons, Sébastien and Romain Redde, the family continues its commitment to producing exceptional Sauvignon Blanc wines that capture the diversity and brilliance of the region's terroir.

One of the estate’s standout cuvées, "Barre à Mine," is a testament to their perseverance and passion. The vineyard landscape was so rocky that dynamite had to be used to reduce the size of the rocks to allow planting. The challenging conditions yielded remarkable results, producing Sauvignon Blanc with unparalleled minerality and complexity. These wines, reflecting the labor and vision of the Redde family, are celebrated as some of the finest expressions of Sauvignon Blanc in the world.
