Hundred Suns
About Hundred Suns
Hundred Suns is a boutique winery nestled in Oregon's renowned Willamette Valley. Founded by husband-and-wife team Grant Coulter and Renée Saint-Amour, the winery derives its name from the approximate number of days of sunshine during the grape-growing season. With a philosophy rooted in minimal intervention, Hundred Suns focuses on small-batch production, allowing the unique terroir of each vineyard site to shine through in their wines. Their approach emphasizes a deep respect for the land, resulting in wines that are both expressive and reflective of Oregon's diverse landscapes.
Grant Coulter, formerly the head winemaker at Beaux Frères winery, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for crafting nuanced wines. Alongside Renée, they collaborate with select vineyards across the Willamette Valley, sourcing high-quality grapes to produce wines that have garnered critical acclaim for their balance, complexity, and elegance. Hundred Suns stands as a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and a commitment to showcasing the potential of Oregon's viticulture.
Why We Love Hundred Suns
Hundred Suns is one of our absolute favorite wineries, and for good reason. The wines are nothing short of extraordinary—amazingly delicious and impeccably crafted, each bottle bursting with character and a sense of place. Grant Coulter and Renée Saint-Amour pour their passion, artistry, and dedication into every vintage, and it shows. Beyond the wines, we love Hundred Suns because of Grant and Renée themselves; they’re two of the best and nicest people in the industry. Their warmth, generosity, and authenticity shine just as brightly as their wines, making every encounter with Hundred Suns an unforgettable experience.
